Project Phases

Architectural Redesign

Originally built as headquarters for the Girl Scouts of Western NY, the building's brutalist structure of exposed concrete, wood, and glass provided a dramatic starting point for redesign. Malvern Build worked closely with LeFrois Builders & Developers to rework the front façade, keeping the client's budget, timeline, and design vision on track.

Full Interior Renovation

The interior was fully refitted under Kelly Jahn's design direction. Malvern Build partnered with Kelly Jahn and the client from demolition through final fit-out, delivering the space for Melroc Group and Ox Tools on time and under budget. USC Builds handled walls, ceilings, and drywall fit-out, with RI Workplace, Workplace Interiors, and Intivity Inc. rounding out furniture, seating, and lounge furnishings throughout.

Group Headquarters

Now named 1020 Place NY, the completed building serves as a shared workspace across Melroc Group companies and the base for Malvern Build. As Kelly Jahn puts it, the original brutalist structure, with its exposed concrete, wood, and expansive glass, gives this hospitality-focused workplace a dramatic backdrop while providing the space, infrastructure, and flexibility this innovation incubator needs to grow. It's been great seeing 1020 Place NY in action, and we're excited for the continued growth and collaboration this space will foster.

We knew what this building could be from the moment we walked through it. Seeing that vision through is what Malvern Build is about.
